We all have busy lives, and taking care of ourselves sometimes receives the lowest priority. We all know that we should be exercising and eating well, but what about taking time for massage therapy?

If you are stressed out, have low back pain, a stiff neck, tight shoulders or sore muscles from athletic competition, Relaxation Massage, Sports Massage or Neuromuscular Massage Therapy can benefit you. The physiological benefits are endless, but everyone also needs balance and relaxation to get in touch with their inner selves and experience a sense of well-being...

About Me

Rachel Marie Hoppough

LMBT #7947

Let me start by thanking you for being interested in my journey. I graduated in 2008 from The Healing Arts and Massage School located in Raleigh, NC. I started my massage career working for a wellness center, specializing in lymphatic massage and an Ayurvedic practice called Sirodhara. I later moved to Surf City, NC and worked in another wonderful wellness center where I learned more about energy healing and soaked up all the ease, warmth and peace of the island life.

In 2010 I opened myself up to the transformational experience of the Hawaiian massage, called lomi lomi. I immediately knew that I wanted to share this heart opening massage with the world and the universe provided. I was able to have my first lomi lomi certificate a couple weeks later and traveled to Hawaii to receive my second certification the next month. In 2011 I moved back to Raleigh and started my own business, A Touch of Aloha. It has brought me so much happiness to do this amazing work. I hope to bring some aloha into everyone's life that is reading this. Many blessing to you and yours.

    Sacred Lomi

Originally known as Lomi Ka’ala hoku “Massage journey to the stars”.

This short version of a Hawaiian sacred healing art was originally handed down from Kahuna to students in an unbroken chain for a millennium.

This bodywork is so powerful that it can be considered physical therapy as well as a vehicle for the release of emotions, traumas, tension, stress, and blocked energy. It is used to revive the body, move blood and lymph, release muscle spasms, and facilitate waste product removal from muscle and connective tissue. The concepts of unconditional love, grace, beauty, and spirit are inherent in a Lomi Lomi Treatment.

Music is an integral part of this session. The therapist will work in a rhythmic motion. The movement is choreographed in the moment as the unique spirit and need of each person’s body ultimately guides the session. Each level of tissue can be treated from the skin level to bone level.

It is a good idea to drink plenty of water after this treatment to continue the cleansing process. Feel the unique benefits of this powerful massage in just one session.
